Customs & tax

At Basetao, we take responsibility for ensuring that your parcel clears Chinese Customs without any issues. If any problems arise with Chinese Customs during shipping, we will assume full responsibility for resolving them.

However, it is important to note that Customs policies vary from country to country, and any issues that may arise with Customs in your country are outside of our control. When your parcel arrives in your destination country, the recipient may be subject to Customs policies and regulations. This may include tariff requirements, confiscated goods, or other issues that we cannot be held responsible for.

As the importer of record, the recipient is responsible for complying with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Additionally, the destination country may levy additional costs such as import duties and taxes, determined by the classification of the goods being shipped, according to their Customs policies. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost, as they are outside of our control and cannot be predicted by us. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay these additional fees, so we advise that you contact your local Customs office to determine what additional costs may apply prior to making a purchase.

At Basetao, we understand that Customs issues can be complex and frustrating, and we are committed to providing you with the necessary documents and support to help you resolve any issues that may arise. We will do our best to assist you in navigating the Customs process, and providing you with the necessary documentation to minimize any potential delays or issues.
